Cancer Rehab
Wherever you are on your journey, get the support you deserve.
I was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2016 and went on to have four years of treatment, including a stem cell transplant in 2019. My cancer diagnosis was a shock for me, being so young and living a traditionally healthy lifestyle.
After my diagnosis, my doctor recommended I rest as much as possible and avoid the strenuous training I was doing; this advice was common at the time and, unfortunately still is.
The latest research tells us that not only is exercise safe for those living with cancer, it can also be beneficial for side-effects such as treatment-related fatigue. As a qualified cancer rehabilitation specialist, I can take you through an exercise regime that is tailored to you, effective and most importantly, fun.
Since beginning work as a cancer rehabilitation specialist, I have gone on to work with my own clients and providing services to charities including Penny Brohn and Trekstock.
